Venting:

 Now that the gas prices have almost caught up with milk and beer, we have to ask our self's , "what's my priorities!"
Do I buy milk for the kids and beer for me and just stay home or do I travel to some "sit my ass in the parking lot" car show benefit?

l that with the cost of just driving some where that the folks putting on the shows this year have better put together some fine entertainment to get me to go.
While I understand the concept of a benefit show, most of them are pretty lame. To pay 25 to 30 dollars to sit in a hot parking lot for 5 or 6 hours is a grueling event.
I say no more free rides to those folks who suck up to us car people just to get our money. We car folks should support the other car folks projects, not the ones that want to just take us for a ride. They don't even know how to classify of judge our cars. I went to one where a 70 Challenger got the best street rod award.
So folks! Wake up!! Almost all our shows are down on attendance. Allot of this is due to other people doing benefits for themselves. How many of these can you afford to go to this year? I can only do so many, so I an trying to allocate my benefit attendance to helping out my kind. Those others should stick to their bazaars and car washes.
